We all need a champion now and then; someone to take up our cause, to help us fight our fights, to push us along our path.  ACTS needs champions, and so do the children we help.

At about 10 months old, Sam could not crawl, roll over or move in and out of a sitting position. He began working with ACTS’ physical and speech therapists who focused on his large motor skills and speech. At 19 months, a happy little Sam can now walk, imitate sounds and repeat words.

Sam’s success was due to ACTS’ Birth to Three Program which offers specialized treatment for children under three years old with developmental delays, disabilities and other at-risk conditions. Some of these children will be diagnosed with conditions like autism later in life. Others will overcome these delays with the help of our therapy services.

We treat the children both in our center and in their homes. We help them with mobility, with eating, with talking. Our therapists develop strategies with the parents to help them with the child’s total needs.  We focus on both prevention and intervention to ensure the children reach and maintain their independence and quality of life.
